Greetings! Each year the Colorado Coalition Against Domestic Violence (CCADV) and the Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault (CCASA) host the Advocacy in Action Conference for advocates and allied professionals.
We look to you to share your knowledge of best practice, current trends, and cutting edge topics!
APPLICATION DEADLINE
Proposals are due by 5:00pm on Friday, January 18, 2013. Each workshop will be 90 minutes in length.
CONFERENCE THEME & GOALS
The Colorado Advocacy in Action Conference is a place to share, discuss, and explore the connections and creative solutions essential to our efforts to end sexual and domestic violence. We welcome workshops on any of a multitude of topics, so tell us your idea! We also seek workshops specifically pertaining to prevention work, work in rural communities, work with the Latin@ community, and management of anti-violence organizations.
CONFERENCE LOCATION
The 2013 Annual Conference will be located at the Vail Marriott in Vail, CO. It will run two and a half days, Monday June 10th through Wednesday June 12th, from 8:00-5:00 on Monday and Tuesday and from 8:00-1:00 on Wednesday.
PRESENTER COMPENSATION
The primary presenter will receive a hotel room for one night, and one free conference registration. We are not providing travel reimbursement.
TRAINING MATERIALS
Presenters will be asked to provide an electronic copy of their presentation and/or handouts by May 30, 2013. We will post materials online for attendees. The presenter will be responsible for any paper copies which they choose to provide.
